599 GTO & 599XX EVO Clutch Rebuild

The 599 GTO, introduced in 2010, was Ferrari’s street-legal homage to the racing-inspired “Gran Turismo Omologato” tradition, building on the 599 GTB Fiorano platform. Developed to offer extreme performance without sacrificing drivability, it represented Ferrari’s most aggressive naturally aspirated V12 production car at the time. The 599XX Evo, a track-only evolution, took the platform even further, incorporating advanced aerodynamics, weight reduction, and telemetry systems to explore the limits of Ferrari engineering. Power for the 599 GTO came from a 6.0-liter V12 producing 670 hp, paired with a seven-speed F1 dual-clutch transmission. The car could accelerate from 0–60 mph in just 3.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 208 mph. Electronic systems, including traction control, E-Diff, and magnetorheological suspension, allowed precise handling at high speeds, making the car as comfortable on a winding road as it was lethal on the track. Visually, the 599 GTO featured aggressive aerodynamic elements such as front splitters, rear diffuser, and side skirts, while the XX Evo took the race-inspired styling further with lightweight carbon-fiber body panels and reduced trim. Interiors were stripped down for the XX Evo, while the GTO maintained luxury and comfort. Both cars exemplify Ferrari’s ability to combine extreme V12 performance, advanced engineering, and racing technology, creating some of the most sought-after and collectible modern Ferraris.
