Introduced in 2005, the Ferrari Superamerica - F1 was the targa-topped version of the 575M Maranello with the F1 automated manual transmission, launched alongside a far less common version with a 6-Speed Manual transmission. The Superamerica featured an electrochromic glass panel roof and a higher-output tune of the V12 engine used on the 575M Maranello. Codenamed the F133 G, the engine was rated at 540 PS (397 kW; 533 hp). Ferrari marketed the Superamerica as the world's fastest convertible car, with a top speed of 320 km/h (199 mph). The GTC handling package was optional. Total production of the 575M Superamerica amounted to 559, of which 516 units were built with the F1 transmission.
